The things I love about Oteen are how quiet it is but still close to everything I need. The area is family friendly and the community is welcoming. The local grocery store, drug store, restaurants, gas stations, post office, hotels, and other necessities are just minutes away.

The schools are incredible with teachers and supporting staff who care about their students and their families.

The scenery is beautiful no matter the season. Lush green grass and trees with beautiful flowers in the spring and summer, colorful leaves in the fall, and crisp clean air in the winter.

We love to eat at The Social which is only a few minutes away, has a great menu, and fantastic entertainment. The local grocery store provides a great selection with competitive prices, convenient hours, and helpful staff. They also have a gas station on site.

My favorite thing about our property is the nature components. There is a creek that is fun to explore or just sit and watch. Lots of trees on the land provide homes to beautiful birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and shade for rabbits.

The Asheville area is great for the culture it provides. There is a little bit of something for everyone: art, theater, music, food, shopping, antiques, hiking, entertainment at the civic center, the farmers market, and so much more.

A few other things I would like to mention are that you are just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore Estate, the local airport, and within a few hours of Charlotte, Cherokee, Pigeon Forge, Greenville, Spartanburg, Atlanta, and Knoxville. Of course we all like different things but we enjoy rides on the parkway, antiquing, the farmers market, and visiting craft fairs. Our neighborhood is great for sitting out in the front porch and relaxing, picnics in the backyard, and cookouts.

Our power company is Duke Energy and our average bill is $200 a month. Our water, sewer treatment and sewer maintenance is through the City of Asheville and is approximately $100 every 2 months. Our garbage and recycling are through Waste Pro and run $50 every 3 months.
